The 304 (1.4301) stainless steel silo sampler offers excellent chemical resistance and is resistant to a wide range of chemicals and detergents.

The smooth surface of stainless steel facilitates hygiene, cleaning and disinfection. Stainless steel is corrosion resistant, making it ideal for use in humid or aggressive environments such as those found in the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries.

The sampler is extremely robust, even with intensive use or abrasive particles.

The SiloDrill is a sampler specifically designed for taking samples of bulk materials from silos or tanks.
When bulk materials are transported over long distances, vibration and movement during transport can cause segregation of material layers, making representative sampling difficult.

The SiloDrill takes an all-layer sample through multiple layers of the bulk material so that the quality, composition, or other relevant properties of the entire stored material can be analyzed.

The SiloDrill fits through openings as small as 90 mm in diameter, making it very versatile. A special mechanism makes it easy to open and close the sampling chamber by turning the rugged T-handle. The spring-loaded inner tube minimizes the risk of jamming coarse grains. Drilling paddles and a scraping edge also allow sampling of caked and non-flowing bulk materials.

The SiloDrill is used to check the quality and homogeneity of bulk materials, to detect contamination or spoilage in stored materials, to take samples for further analysis required to comply with legal regulations or industry standards, e.g. in agriculture for sampling grain, seed, fertilizer or animal feed, in the food industry for sampling powdered and granulated foods from storage silos, in the chemical industry for taking chemical samples from industrial silos.

  1. Attach the handle to the rod.
  2. Place the collection chamber on the rod and secure it with the safety clip.
  3. Using the handle, drill the sampler clockwise into the medium to be sampled to the desired depth (sample chamber is closed).
  4. At the desired depth, turn the sampler counterclockwise (sample chamber opens).
  5. The sample chamber is filled after approx. five turns.
  6. Turn the sampler clockwise approx. two turns (sample chamber is closed).
  7. Pull the sampler by the handle out of the medium to be sampled.
  8. Remove the safety clip and remove the collection chamber.
  9. Empty the sample into a suitable collecting vessel.

The large transport case is a plastic case with a foam insert. It features a sturdy carrying handle, snap closures, and pick-and-pluck foam on the inside. Thanks to its hard outer shell, sensitive equipment is protected from impacts during shipping or when carried in the field.
