Detailed information
The Mole extension is an additional rod for the Bürkle Mole soil auger that enables greater drilling depths to be reached. The extension measures 1 m and is inserted between the T-handle and the auger head. Precisely manufactured connection points prevent wobbling of the drill rod and ensure that the soil core remains cleanly in the sampling chamber. Even with the extension, the centring and guidance of the Mole remain reliable.
Typical application area of the product
Used in geology, agriculture, and environmental analysis for soil investigations when samples are needed from deeper horizons (e.g. for nutrient or contaminant profiles). With the extension, it is also possible to sample groundwater-near layers without expensive machine drilling – ideal for preliminary surveys. The Mole extensions turn the hand-operated soil auger into a flexible tool that can be adapted to each project: simply omit for shallow samples or add as needed for deeper ones – professional, modular, and effective.

Transport case
The handy transport case is a plastic case with a foam insert. It features a sturdy carrying handle, snap closures, and internal pick-and-pluck foam. Thanks to its hard outer shell, sensitive equipment is protected from shocks during shipping or when carried in the field.
The case is compact and light enough to be easily transported, yet offers ample space for equipment and necessary accessories (tubing, adapters, tools). With this transport case, your equipment remains organised, protected, and portable – no loose accessories flying around, no accidental knocks to the devices.

Mole drill head coarse sand
With extra broad side panels enclosing even more of the bit so that even coarse sandy soils and very dry soils are retained.

Mole drill head gravel auger
With slightly rounded, oblique scoops which pull themselves downward in the gravel. Any stones present are clamped between the drill sides. Finer soil material (coarse sand with fine gravel) is retained in the drill bit.

Mole drill head combination
Retains both strongly cohesive and less cohesive soils.

Mole drill head Riverside
Very suitable for drilling in hard, encrusted soils and soils mixed with fine gravel. The drill cutters project from the drill itself, so that friction is greatly reduced.

Mole drill head sand
With broad side panels and therefore a large retention capacity for the sand.

Mole drill head stone catcher
The stone catcher is used to collect and remove stones that prevent proper sampling with one of the other drill bits.

Mole drill head clay and moist soils
With narrow side panels for minimum soil friction/resistance. As wet soils are usually very cohesive, the soil still adheres to the bit very well.
