The space-saving canister is made of electrically conductive HDPE and is specially designed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.

With a surface resistivity of <10^5 ohms, the canister is highly electrically conductive. When properly grounded, this eliminates the risk of ignition due to electrostatic charge. The canister therefore helps to meet the requirements of ATEX 137, TRBS2153 and CENELEC 50404.

The space-saving canister is made of antistatic PE plastic that does not rust and can be easily disposed of via the recycling system. The canister offers excellent chemical resistance and can be filled with a wide range of liquids and chemicals.

Where every square inch counts, the space-saving canister is the ideal solution for space-saving storage and efficient handling of a wide variety of liquids. Whether stored in tight spaces or efficiently organized on shelves or trays, this canister maximizes storage capacity, helps make better use of storage space, and reduces transportation costs.

The electrically conductive canister can be used for filling and storing flammable and highly flammable liquids of explosion groups IIA, IIB and IIC, such as laboratory waste. It is used wherever strict safety protocols require the risk of electrostatic discharge to be minimized. For example, in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry, in the paint and varnish industry, in agriculture or in mining. In potentially explosive areas where flammable substances, explosive chemicals or finely dispersed particles are handled.

When decanting flammable liquids without the machines and containers involved in the process being sufficiently earthed, electrostatic build-up can occur, which for many substances can result in fire or an explosion.

Bürkle’s Anti-static set ensures easy and reliable earthing.

The Anti-static set consists of three colour-coded connecting copper cables with clamps in a handy plastic case.

With the canister support as an accessory for two or three canisters, any number of canisters can be freely positioned.

The support is specifically designed to securely, space-efficiently, and in compliance with standards fix 5-liter canisters in place, protecting them from slipping, tipping, and concentrated load points. It is made of lightweight, rustproof aluminum.
The two tall tabs (“walls”) of the support enclose the narrow sides of the canister, preventing it from shifting or tipping sideways. Especially on shelves, in vehicles, or in environments with vibrations — such as laboratories or workshops — the support keeps the canister safely in position.
